Adam Ward is the Program Manager and biostatistician for the Research Enterprise to Advance a Cure for HIV (REACH)Martin Delaney Collaboratory. In this capacity, he helps to manage day-to-day operations of the Collaboratory and facilitate scientific interactions between its members, including with the Jones Lab. He also works on the design and analysis of REACH-related clinical, epidemiological, and basic science research studies. Prior to his current role, Adam was a Research Assistant and then a Research Associate in the Jones Lab from 2016-2021, where he was involved in a wide range of studies spanning from mouse models of HIV infection, to study of HIV in the central nervous system, to testing immunological approaches to HIV cure in vitro and ex vivo. Adam is currently a PhD candidate in epidemiology at the Milken Institute School of Public Health at George Washington University, where he is completing his dissertation work titled “Investigation into HIV Reservoir Size, Longitudinal HIV-Specific T-cell Response Trends, and Inflammatory Biomarkers, and their Interactions, in People Living with HIV on Long-Term Antiretroviral Therapy” under the supervision of Brad Jones. Adam holds a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Sciences, from North Carolina State University.
