Itzy completed her undergraduate studies at Davidson College in 2020 and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in genomics. During her undergraduate experience, Itzy worked in the laboratory of Dr. Malcolm Campbell on a project focused on evolving bacteriophage riboswitches. Itzy joined the Jones lab in August 2021 where she primarily works with various humanized mouse studies. Itzy plans to continue her comprehensive research on human pathogenic viruses in the future.
