Louise Leyre, MS

Louise is a PhD student from France. She investigates the resistance of CD4+T cells harboring HIV to Cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTL) killing. Before joining the Immunology and Microbial Pathogenesis program at Weill Cornell in 2019, Louise completed a master’s degree at the University of Montréal in Canada with Dr. Nicolas Chomont studying the seeding of HIV reservoir in acutely infected individuals. She has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Lausanne in Switzerland with a minor in Bioethics.

Fun fact: Louise is star baker of the lab, loves cooking and is a foodie at heart. She likes to run by the East River or in Prospect Park.
